Know the basis of support before you commit
Not every FISI service is funded in the same way. This page explains how free, low-cost, subsidised and chargeable support is handled without inventing fees or programme availability.
Funded community support
Where grant funding or a community partnership covers a programme, eligible participants may receive support free or at a reduced cost. The specific eligibility rules will be published for that programme.
Digital inclusion
Free SIM cards through the National Databank are subject to eligibility. Donated digital devices are subject to availability through partner organisations.
Organisational services
Bookkeeping, payroll and other financial administration are designed to be affordable. Scope and price are confirmed with the organisation before chargeable work begins.
What FISI will publish when a programme is confirmed
Where dates, funding or capacity have not yet been confirmed, the site says so rather than presenting estimates as facts.
| Information | What participants should be able to see | Current approach |
|---|---|---|
| Who it is for | Eligibility and priority groups | Published for each funded programme |
| Cost | Free, subsidised or chargeable | Confirmed before participation or paid work |
| Frequency | How often sessions or support take place | Published once delivery schedule is agreed |
| Duration | Length of each session and overall programme | Published once programme design is final |
| Capacity | Number of places / level of availability | Published once funding and staffing are confirmed |
| Location | Where in-person support takes place or whether remote | Published for each delivery activity |
| Outcome | What the programme is trying to change | Measured and reported through the impact framework |
